The Devonshire Crowned No. 1 in 2026 UK Top 50 Gastropubs

The industry-voted awards crowned the Soho pub at a London ceremony.

Overview

  • The rankings were unveiled on January 26 at Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London after the 51–100 list was released earlier in the week.
  • The Unruly Pig in Bromeswell placed second, while Gloucestershire’s Woolpack in Slad ranked fourth and The George at Kempsford appeared at No. 54 in the Top 100.
  • Cumbria’s Heft was listed at No. 34 as the county’s only Top 50 entry, with the Black Bull in Sedbergh and the Dog & Gun in Skelton at Nos. 57 and 73 respectively.
  • Special honours included The General Tarleton as One to Watch, Ayesha Kalaji as Chef of the Year, and The Wild Rabbit as Sustainable Pub of the Year.
  • The Bristol area had no pubs in either the Top 50 or the 51–100 list for 2026, drawing local attention to the gap.
