Overview
- The CW confirmed on Friday that it will forego next week’s broadcasts of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA finals and wished the contestants well in the competition.
- The Miss USA Organization said it identified a contractual issue with its production arrangements two weeks earlier that could not be resolved in time for the planned telecasts.
- Both competitions, originally scheduled to take place in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center on Aug. 26–27, will instead be streamed live on the Queen Beauty Network.
- The change comes after a June multi‑year deal between The CW and BDE Miss USA unraveled, and follows recent years of leadership turnover, high‑profile resignations and other controversies within the pageant.
- The switch back to niche streaming limits national broadcast exposure for the pageant’s 75th anniversary and may complicate future negotiations between the organization and major networks while affecting contestants’ TV visibility.
