The Church of Jesus Christ Releases 10 New Hymns for Global 'Hymns for Home and Church'

Church leaders say the digital-first, phased rollout is meant to teach gospel doctrine, encourage joyful singing and widen multilingual access ahead of a planned print edition in late 2027.

Overview

  • The church published 10 additional hymns on July 23, 2026, bringing the English, Spanish, Portuguese and French collection to 82 songs available online.
  • New additions mix familiar Christian hymns and recent Latter-day Saint compositions, including 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness,' 'Fight the Good Fight,' 'The Miracle' and 'It’s Joyful to Live the Gospel.'
  • All new hymns are being posted first in the Gospel Library app and at music.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, and parallel releases on July 23 included language-specific batches such as 22 in Armenian and Malagasy and 12 in German, Korean and Tagalog.
  • The church is continuing a phased rollout through 2027 with roughly 100 hymns expected in the core languages before a full print hymnbook projected for late 2027.
  • Hymnbook leaders say the selections emphasize joy and gospel teaching, and local music leaders report early uptake as wards and families use Primary and other new songs more often in meetings and at home.
