Overview
- The Center at West Park announced Wednesday that it will present a one-night staged reading of The Big Chill on August 31 at Guild Hall in East Hampton.
- The initial ensemble named for the benefit-style event includes Marisa Tomei, Matthew Broderick, Amy Brenneman, Spencer Garrett, Frederick Weller, Ilana Levine and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams, with additional cast to be announced.
- David Saint will direct the staged reading and the performance will be followed by a talkback featuring the cast, the creative team, and special guests.
- The presentation is produced by Julianne Hoffenberg, Debby Hirshman and Madelyn Paquette and is being presented with the support of Columbia Pictures.
- Tickets are being sold through The Center at West Park at donor-level prices reported between $1,000 and $10,000 as part of the organization’s ongoing summer program of star-driven readings at Guild Hall.
