- On Wednesday Matt Reeves posted a camera-test clip on social and Vimeo that offered the first official footage of Robert Pattinson back in the Batsuit and revealed the Feb. 18, 2028 release date.
- Production began in June 2026 in the U.K. and the studio and filmmaker have said the later date will allow more time to complete visual effects, editing and other post-production work.
- The move was part of a wider Warner Bros. slate reshuffle that shifted J.J. Abrams’ The Great Beyond into the film’s former October slot and rearranged several other release dates.
