- At a Thane Lok Adalat on Saturday, the family of software engineer Omkar Prakash Joshi received Rs 2.14 crore after an amicable settlement, with Principal District Judge S B Agrawal handing over the cheque.

- For a 2018 tanker fatality, the MACT granted Rs 24.33 lakh to the victim’s family and held the tanker owner and insurer jointly and severally liable after rejecting unsupported insurer defences.
- In orders linked to a 2010 tanker–truck blaze near Shahapur, the MACT awarded a combined Rs 45.48 lakh to two drivers’ families, found the truck driver at fault, and ordered payment with 9% interest and prompt deposit.
