  • The tribunal found the Hyva truck driver absolutely negligent and without a valid driving licence at the time of the Palghar collision.
  • Both awards carry 9% annual interest from the date of the petitions until deposit, with insurers directed to pay first and recover from vehicle owners.
  • In the 2016 tanker case, Rs 25.59 lakh goes to the husband and two minor children of Surekha Yogesh More, after police booked the driver under IPC sections 279 and 304A.
