Textron Reaches 500th Cessna Citation CJ4 Delivery

The milestone highlights the CJ4’s global customer base as Textron moves a Gen3 variant through heavy flight testing toward FAA certification.

Textron announced it has delivered the 500th Cessna Citation CJ4 series aircraft, a Gen2 jet sold to a customer in the Philippines.
The company says the CJ4 remains a top-selling light executive jet used by owner-operators and fleet customers for business and special missions.
Textron is actively flight testing the CJ4 Gen3, with more than 880 test hours logged across two test aircraft, and the company expects to seek FAA type certification before the end of 2026.
The Gen3 is planned to include Garmin G3000 PRIME avionics, Garmin Emergency Autoland, and a seating configuration for up to nine passengers plus two pilots.
Textron’s steady delivery pace of roughly 30 CJ4s a year shows continued market demand, and the Gen3’s upgraded avionics and safety systems could change cockpit automation and passenger capacity for small business jets.
