Tesla Restores Seven-Seat Model Y in Europe, Limited to Premium AWD

The narrowly configured relaunch seeks to reignite interest following a year of falling deliveries.

Overview

  • Orders are open now in Germany and other Tesla Berlin–served markets, with deliveries shown for April–May 2026.
  • The seven-seat option is available only on the Model Y Premium “Maximale Reichweite” all-wheel-drive variant.
  • The third row adds two forward-facing seats that fold flat, with 381 liters of cargo behind them, 894 liters when folded, and up to 2,094 liters maximum.
  • Tesla lists the option at €2,500, taking the variant to €55,490 in Germany, plus a €980 processing fee, and quotes up to 600 km WLTP range.
  • European Model Y production comes from Giga Berlin, and the company has not explained why other trims, including Performance and RWD Premium, remain ineligible.
