- Tesla published region-specific European Semi pages on Friday that list a Standard Range truck with up to 550 km of range at a 40-tonne gross combination weight and deliveries “from 2027.”
- The European spec sheet gives a curb weight of about 9,100 kg, energy use of roughly 1.0 kWh per kilometre, an ePTO rated up to 25 kW, and Megacharger charging at up to 800 kW that Tesla says can restore about 60% of range in 30 minutes.
- Tesla’s European pages list only the Standard Range tractor and do not show a Long Range variant, a price, an order button, or whether trucks will be imported from Nevada or built at its Berlin‑area plant.
- Adoption will hinge on charging and service networks because Europe already sells electric heavy trucks from Mercedes‑Benz, Volvo, MAN, Scania, DAF and Renault, and the lower 800 kW charging cap changes reload and duty‑cycle math for long‑haul fleets.
- The Semi program has faced long delays but reached a production milestone when a high‑volume Semi rolled off a Nevada line in April, and Tesla’s formal IAA Hannover presentation on September 15–20 is expected to answer the remaining commercial and infrastructure questions.
