Tesla Begins Deliveries of Six‑Seat Model Y L in India

The launch positions a long-range, family-focused flagship to widen Tesla’s appeal in India by pairing space and range in a premium package.

Overview

  • The Model Y L began customer deliveries on Monday, June 15, and is offered as a three-row, six-seat flagship at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 61.99 lakh.
  • Tesla says the dual-motor all-wheel-drive Model Y L has a WLTP-certified range of up to 681 km and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in about 5.0 seconds.
  • The L’s cabin is a 2+2+2 layout with up to 2,539 litres of cargo space when seats are folded and includes a 16-inch centre screen, an 8-inch second-row screen, heated and ventilated seats and a 19-speaker audio system.
  • Tesla plans to start deliveries of the lower-priced 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive in July at Rs. 50.89 lakh and is offering finance packages and lower monthly EMIs to broaden affordability.
  • To support ownership, Tesla currently runs service and body-repair centres in Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi and Pune and will open more locations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad this quarter while citing top international safety ratings to reassure buyers.
