- Tesco, which will run the one-day Park & Pause activation on Saturday, April 11, will hand out a free Tesco Finest hot drink and a biscuit at the bays between 8am and 5pm.
- Ambassadors will deliver drinks to car windows, and stopwatch symbols will mark the short-stay spaces in participating car parks.
- The supermarket asks visitors to keep their break to 30 minutes so others can use the bays throughout the day.
- The ten stores span England, Scotland and Wales, including Cardiff Culverhouse Cross, Coventry Walsgrave, Leeds Seacroft, Musselburgh, Newcastle, Nottingham Top Valley, Portsmouth, Royston, Southport and Wembley.
- Tesco says the one-day offer reflects its findings that 42% of people use supermarkets for brief time out, with parents of children under four most likely to volunteer for a shop to get a few minutes alone.
