Overview
- Tesco announced on Friday, May 22 that it will restart its Kids Eat Free scheme and that the offer begins in England on Monday, May 25 for the May half term.
- The deal runs in roughly 330–332 Tesco Café and Coffee Shop sites and excludes weekends during the half-term period.
- Customers must scan a Tesco Clubcard in store to qualify and receive one free Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast or Kids Pick 'n' Mix with each adult menu item purchased.
- The promotion allows multiple free kids meals per transaction because each adult menu item triggers a free child meal, and Tesco says some combinations can mean families pay as little as 65p per child meal.
- Tesco frames the move as targeted help for stretched households and positions it alongside recent government affordability steps and the retailer’s own pricing commitments to reduce holiday costs for parents.
