- Tesco, which launched the scheme on July 30, will give customers a 5% fuel coupon when they spend £60 or more in a single in-store transaction.
- Shoppers must make the qualifying purchase by August 16 to receive a paper coupon that must be presented at the forecourt kiosk and redeemed by August 23, with a £1 minimum fuel purchase and a £10 maximum saving.
- The offer applies to unleaded petrol and diesel at more than 500 Tesco-branded filling stations but cannot be used via Pay at Pump, at unmanned sites, at some Tesco Express outlets that sell Esso, in Northern Ireland, or on the Isle of Man.
- Tesco says the voucher can cut prices by about 8p per litre as oil recently topped $100 and pump prices rose in July, and the company framed the move as extra summer help for families.
- The promotion’s wide network gives it reach, but the paper‑only and kiosk‑only rules and outlet exclusions may limit take-up and could prompt rivals to tweak their own short-term fuel deals.
