Overview
- Tesco expanded the Kids Eat Free offer to run seven days a week in more than 330 Café and The Coffee Shop sites, a scheme that began on Thursday, June 25, and runs until September 1.
- Customers get one free Kids Hot Meal, Kids Breakfast or Kids Pick ’n’ Mix for each full-price adult purchase when they scan a Tesco Clubcard, and Tesco says the adult item can cost as little as 65p.
- There is no cap on how many free kids’ meals a family can claim but the offer is subject to availability and site-specific menus so some cafés may only offer the Pick ’n’ Mix option.
- Tesco is also cutting full prices on children’s meals under a government VAT reduction, restarting Free Fruit for Kids from July 20 to August 30, and promoting Clubcard voucher exchanges with partners such as PizzaExpress and Cineworld.
- The package is intended to ease household costs over the long summer holiday by lowering meal bills and offering reward options that could stretch family budgets further when shopping and visiting partner venues.
