- Manufacturer Sacor has issued a voluntary recall after tests found salmonella in Bastides Saucisson Sec sold only at Tesco.
- The affected product is a 200g pack with best-before 04/03/2026 and barcode 5010292933486.
- Customers are told not to eat the sausage and to seek a refund at any Tesco store, with enquiries directed to customercare@compleatfood.com.
- Health officials advise monitoring for fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps, and to remain away from work, school or nursery until symptom-free for 48 hours.
- Sacor says this is an isolated incident with no other Bastides products known to be affected, and the recalled packs were sold in England, Scotland and Wales.
