Terranigma Set for January 14, 2027 Reissue on Consoles and PC

This sanctioned North American release pairs the untouched 1995 experience with a separate modernized Arranged Mode plus collector-focused physical editions.

Overview

  • Clear River Games confirmed on September 16 that Terranigma will launch worldwide on January 14, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC via Steam with GOG availability reported by multiple outlets.
  • The port preserves an untouched Original Mode that keeps the original save system and balance while offering an Arranged Mode that adds quick saves, a minimap, increased magic damage and a rewind function.
  • Quality-of-life features listed by the publisher include a quick magic button, item hot-swap, customizable backgrounds, a music player, a museum, remappable controls and multiple aspect-ratio/CRT options to mimic the original look.
  • Clear River and Limited Run Games will sell multiple physical SKUs including standard, foiled limited runs, a SteelBook and a $199.99 Gaia Edition that bundles a Yomi figurine, Pandora’s Box music box, a 200-page art book, soundtrack CD, enamel pin and cloth map.
  • The release ends a long absence for the 1995 Quintet title in North America and fits a wider trend of faithfully reissuing classic JRPGs with optional modern conveniences while the game is slated to be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
