Terranigma Set for January 14, 2027 Reissue

The official port brings the 1995 SNES title to modern consoles, offering an untouched original mode along with a convenience-focused arranged mode.

Overview

  • Clear River Games confirmed Wednesday that Terranigma will launch January 14, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and PC (Steam/GOG).
  • The publisher announced digital releases plus three physical tiers — Standard, SteelBook and a $199.99 Gaia Edition that includes a Yomi figurine, Pandora’s Box music box, 200-page art book, soundtrack CD and cloth world map.
  • Players can choose an "original mode" that preserves the game’s original balance and save system or switch to an "arranged mode" that adds increased magic damage, a minimap and the ability to save anywhere.
  • The port adds specific quality-of-life features such as a Quick Magic Button, Item Hot-Swap, customizable backgrounds with high-resolution artwork, a music player, an in-game museum, a rewind function and remappable controls.
  • Pre-orders are live through Limited Run Games in the U.S. and directly from Clear River Games in Europe, marking the first official North American re-release of the 1995 classic and improving access for both long-time fans and new players.
