Telltale Confirms The Wolf Among Us Remaster for Holiday 2026 and Sequel for 2027

The remaster will update the 2013 game for modern platforms to refresh the story before a long-delayed sequel returns Bigby Wolf to Fabletown.

Overview

  • Telltale Games and co-publisher PM Studios revealed the announcements at Summer Game Fest on Friday, confirming The Wolf Among Us Remastered will arrive in Holiday 2026 and The Wolf Among Us 2 is slated for 2027.
  • The remaster will bring the 2013 episodic original to modern consoles including Nintendo Switch for the first time and adds upgraded visuals, improved animation and audio, an updated user interface, better accessibility options, and more than an hour of bonus behind-the-scenes content.
  • The Wolf Among Us 2 is described as a direct continuation set after the original game with Bigby Wolf investigating a string of brutal homicides that expose a dangerous conspiracy in Fabletown.
  • PM Studios will handle global publishing, distribution, and go-to-market support while Telltale retains creative leadership; both titles are officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC.
  • The announcements close a prolonged period of uncertainty for the sequel after Telltale’s 2018 collapse, a 2023 engine migration to Unreal Engine 5, and a split with co-developer AdHoc Studio, and they establish a clear release roadmap for the franchise.
