- Telangana Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu met Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and submitted a memorandum on Monday requesting central approvals, funding and policy support for a package of state projects.
- The state highlighted two large proposals that need Centre backing: Hyundai's proposed ₹8,500 crore Global Innovation and R&D Centre at Zaheerabad and a ₹2,050 crore multi‑modal logistics park at Manoharabad that involves National Highways Logistics Management Ltd.
- Telangana asked for priority under Bhavya Scheme Phase 1 for 15–20 plug‑and‑play industrial parks and pressed for an Aero‑Defence Corridor plus a National Design Centre in Hyderabad to boost defence and design‑led manufacturing.
- The memorandum also sought export and farm protections, including funding for an irradiation facility at Koheda, allocation of the Ramagundam (RFCL) plant's urea output to the state, and restoration of the crude palm oil import duty to 44% to aid palm‑oil growers.
- Officials say Detailed Project Reports are being prepared and that decisions in the June–July 2026 application window will determine whether these proposals move from planning into implementation, which could speed jobs, factory starts and export capacity in Telangana.
