Overview
- Telangana has formally objected to the Centre’s plan to replace MGNREGA with the VB-G RAM G framework and has demanded withdrawal and restoration of the existing scheme while submitting detailed recommendations.
- Panchayat raj minister Danasari 'Seethakka' sent formal letters proposing technical changes including an allocation formula that gives 80% weight to actual person-days at gram panchayat level and exemptions to a mandatory 60-day employment break.
