Telangana Invites Design Bids to Rehabilitate Kaleshwaram’s Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla Barrages

Overview

• The Irrigation and Command Area Development Department’s Central Designs Organisation issued an EOI for rehabilitation and restoration designs, with proposals due October 15 at the Chief Engineer’s office in Hyderabad.
• The National Dam Safety Authority’s final report recommended full rehabilitation designs for all three barrages after identifying issues such as sand piping, cavity formation and design flaws, with a preference for Central Water Commission review.
