Telangana Cyber Bureau Arrests Five in Trafficking of Indians to Myanmar Cyber Scam Camps

Investigators say the case opened after victim complaints, with cross‑border probes and Look Out notices underway.

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau said it detained Vasam Goverdhan, Banothu Madhanlal, Gangala Naveen, Suggana Sudheer Kumar and Syed Mohammad Madhani for recruiting Indians into scam hubs in Myawaddy.
Victims reported being promised high‑paying data entry jobs in Thailand, having passports seized in Myanmar and being forced to work long hours in fraud operations targeting Indians.
Officials said recruiters earned commissions of $3,000 to $5,000 per person and demanded $5,000 from workers who tried to leave the camps.
Two of the accused had previously worked inside the Myanmar facilities and then recruited for HS Company using social media, virtual interviews and legal travel routes via Bangkok.
TGCSB formed a Special Investigation Team after returnees filed complaints, brought 45 victims to Hyderabad for counselling and forensic analysis, and continues repatriation‑linked inquiries.
