Overview
- Officials were told to draw up plans for ring roads around all major district headquarters, add radial connectors, and link them to National and State Highways where feasible.
- Road development must follow the Road Sector Policy-2047 with coordination directed with GHMC and the Revenue Department before starting identified works.
- Ongoing construction of Road Over Bridges and Road Under Bridges will be expedited, with new proposals to be prepared wherever needed.
- Transport modernization was ordered: only electric vehicles are to be procured or hired by government departments under the CURE framework, all services will move fully online, and dedicated RTO buildings will replace rented offices.
- Integration with larger corridors advances, including planning a modern bus terminal near Shamshabad for the proposed high-speed rail and studying a greenfield link from Nagarjunasagar to the Hyderabad–Vijayawada Expressway.
