Overview
- The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for the projects during a bhoomi puja at Yadagirigutta on Friday, formally launching works across the temple precincts.
- The announced package totals ₹99.55 crore and breaks down into a Veda Pathashala (about ₹43.80 crore), dormitory halls and a Deeksha Parula Sadanam (₹43.12 crore), a Nitya Kalyana Mandapam (≈₹9.87 crore) and smaller pathway and steps works (about ₹2.76 crore combined).
- Officials say the Veda Pathashala will be built in three phases on 15 acres with a 1.40 lakh sq ft built-up area, with the first phase planned to house 500 students and later phases adding residential blocks, a dining hall and a yagashala.
- The ceremony drew senior state leaders and the pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati, and included Vedic chants by students to mark the religious endorsement of the projects.
- Construction is at the initiation stage with foundation stones laid and no completion dates reported, so immediate effects will be on planning, oversight and pilgrim facility capacity rather than on visitors' day-to-day experience.
