Telangana ACB Books DA Case, Suspends Joint Sub-Registrar Over Rs 7.83 Crore Asset Haul

The probe centers on alleged concealment using front businesses linked to relatives.

  • The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a disproportionate assets case against Kandadi Madhusudhan Reddy, a Joint Sub-Registrar in Rangareddy district who has been placed under suspension.
  • Searches on January 23 were carried out at his residence and seven linked locations under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
  • Investigators documented a triplex house in Kapra, plots in Chintapallyguda and Mangalpally, 27 acres of agricultural land at Naskal, a farmhouse with a swimming pool worth Rs 1.24 crore, about Rs 9 lakh in cash, roughly 1.2 kg of gold, and four vehicles.
  • The assets were valued at Rs 7,83,35,302 at document rates, with the ACB noting that market values could be significantly higher.
  • The bureau alleges an investment of about Rs 80 lakh in ARK Spirits and the use of two shell companies in the names of his wife and children, while further verification of additional assets continues and the public has been urged to report bribe demands via toll-free number 1064.
