Overview
- Police say a blue Honda CRV carrying five attempted to overtake at speed on Hopkins Road about 9:15pm Thursday, colliding with two vehicles.
- A 17-year-old Kurunjang passenger died at the scene, and three other teenage passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
- The 18-year-old Williams Landing driver was on red P plates and allegedly exceeded passenger limits, and he received minor injuries.
- Occupants of the other cars suffered mainly minor injuries, including a 23-year-old Tarneit man and two 18-year-old women who were treated in hospital.
