Overview
- Tate confirmed a cross-site 2027 season, headlined by Monet: Painting Time at Tate Modern from 25 February to 27 June 2027, co-organized with Paris’s Musée de l’Orangerie.
- David Hockney’s 90th year will be marked by a Turbine Hall installation in summer 2027 and a career retrospective of more than 200 works at Tate Britain from 7 October 2027 to 20 February 2028.
- Tate Modern will stage Ink from 22 April to 30 August 2027, surveying 20th-century ink painting in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, alongside the UK’s first solo show for Algerian artist Baya from 10 June to 17 October 2027.
- Further major shows at Tate Modern include Edvard Munch’s ‘soul paintings’ from 11 November 2027 to 23 April 2028 and a Lynda Benglis survey from 30 September 2027 to 5 March 2028, with a Sonia Boyce survey planned at Tate Britain in 2027.
- Tate Liverpool’s renovation will complete for a 2027 reopening with a Chila Kumari Singh Burman exhibition, and the Turner Prize exhibition will be hosted at Tate St Ives from October 2027 to January 2028.
