TasteAtlas Ranks Mumbai 5th Among World’s Best Food Cities for 2025–26

The recognition highlights a street‑food heritage with legacy eateries named as essential stops.

  • Mumbai retained No. 5 for a second year and remains the only Indian city in the global top ten.
  • TasteAtlas pointed to street-food staples such as vada pav, pav bhaji and bhelpuri, with Ram Ashraya, Shree Thaker Bhojanalay and Cafe Madras among recommended spots.
  • Five other Indian cities entered the top 100: Amritsar 48th, New Delhi 53rd, Hyderabad 54th, Kolkata 73rd, Chennai 93rd.
