Taste of Chicago Returns to Grant Park With Headliners and New Chef’s Stage

Resuming its traditional July slot, the festival gives Chicago restaurants a concentrated summer showcase for food, music and family programming.

Overview

  • Taste of Chicago opened in Grant Park on Wednesday and runs through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day with free admission for visitors.
  • Organizers confirmed five headline acts — Common, Babyface, Beach Bunny, Original Koffee and Julieta Venegas — across the multi-day schedule.
  • A debut Chef’s Stage runs July 10–12 and features Maya-Camille Broussard and Carrie Nahabedian on Friday, Diana Dávila on Saturday, and John Manion with Javauneeka Jacobs on Sunday.
  • All food vendors are operating cashless payment only, with dozens of local restaurants participating including the Billy Goat Tavern, Connie’s Pizza, Eli’s Cheesecake and Lou Malnati’s.
  • City crews completed planned street closures and site setup around Grant Park to support the festival, restoring normal summer downtown flow after the NASCAR pause and concentrating foot traffic and economic activity for local businesses.
