Overview
- Tang Wei confirmed the birth in a WeChat Moments post shared to a limited audience that included a photo of four hands and a small drawing by her husband Kim Tae-yong.
- The post used imagery referencing the Chinese zodiac’s Year of the Horse to mark the arrival and said the family plans a trip together.
- Chinese outlet Sina reported the newborn is a boy, a detail that was reported by media rather than stated directly by Tang in her post.
- Tang first acknowledged pregnancy rumours in an earlier Instagram post, saying the news was a surprise and expressing family excitement.
- The announcement again drew attention because Tang and Kim are a transnational film couple known for Late Autumn and Tang’s breakout role in Lust, Caution, and the birth will expand their family that already includes daughter Summer.
