Tales of Eternia Remastered Set for October Release on Consoles and PC

Preserving the original A‑LMBS combat, the remaster includes graphics and SFX toggles plus quality-of-life features such as Boost, Battle Retry, Quick Recovery.

Overview

  • Bandai Namco and developer TOSE revealed the remaster during Nintendo’s June Direct on Tuesday and confirmed an October 15 launch in Japan and an October 16 worldwide release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC (Steam).
  • Players can flip between the original visuals and sound and the remastered versions using new Graphics Mode and SFX Mode to preserve the game’s nostalgic presentation.
  • The release keeps the series’ Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS) while adding modern combat options, a high-speed auto-battle mode, an Extreme difficulty available from the start, and an unlockable Unknown difficulty.
  • Quality-of-life additions include a Boost feature to change XP and encounter rates, toggleable destination icons, an enemy-encounter disable option, Battle Retry, Quick Recovery, and a high-speed Auto-mode during battles.
  • The remaster will be offered with a Digital Deluxe edition containing a digital art book, soundtrack, and item DLC, and it follows other Tales remasters tied to the series’ 30th-anniversary effort that has drawn mixed fan response to prior releases.
