Overview
- OGDCL said in a Pakistan Stock Exchange notice that the TAL Joint Venture’s Bilitang-1-ST-1 appraisal well in Kohat flowed about 26.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day with condensate from the Lumshiwal Formation.
- The test ran on a 32/64 inch choke and recorded wellhead flowing pressure of 4,214 psi, showing strong deliverability under appraisal conditions.
- The well, spudded on August 10, 2025, was sidetracked to reach better reservoir rock and drilled to 4,004 meters true vertical depth using logging data to target the interval.
- The venture comprises OGDCL at 30%, PPL at 30%, POL at 25%, MOL Pakistan as operator at 10%, and Government Holdings at 5%.
- Arif Habib Limited estimated the result could add about PKR 0.42, 0.66, and 4.80 per share each year to OGDCL, PPL, and POL, with any output still subject to further appraisal and development decisions.
