Taiwan Reports 4 Chinese Aircraft and 6 Warships Nearby, One Crosses Into Northern ADIZ

Taiwan’s defense ministry said that by 6 a.m. local time on January 11 it detected 4 PLA aircraft, 6 PLAN ships and 1 official ship operating around Taiwan.
One of the four aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line and entered Taiwan’s northern air defense identification zone, according to the ministry.
On January 10, the ministry reported 3 PLA sorties and 6 PLAN vessels, with one aircraft crossing the median line into the southwestern sector of the ADIZ.
The ministry stated it monitored the situation and responded, and it published the detections in posts on X.
President Lai Ching-te reiterated his pledge to safeguard Taiwan and rejected Chinese pressure reaching into the island.
