Taiwan Reports 11 Chinese Aircraft and 8 Naval Vessels Near Island as Nine Cross Strait Median Line

• Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said 11 PLA aircraft and 8 PLAN vessels were detected up to 6 a.m. (UTC+8) on Feb. 15.
• Nine of the 11 sorties crossed the Taiwan Strait’s median line and entered the northern and southwestern sectors of Taiwan’s ADIZ.
• The ROC Armed Forces stated they monitored the situation and responded.
• The new report follows Feb. 13 detections of 42 aircraft and 11 vessels, including 32 sorties that entered four ADIZ sectors.
• On Feb. 14, Taiwan reported a smaller presence of 1 aircraft, 8 vessels and 1 official ship around the island.
