Tabernacle Choir Brings 'Songs of Hope' Tour to São Paulo With Feb. 28 Livestream

The tour spotlights a permanent program that opens general-conference participation to international singers.

Overview

  • Concerts run Feb. 27–March 1 at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, the same venue the choir used in 1981.
  • Saturday’s concert streams live on the Tabernacle Choir’s YouTube channel at 6 p.m. Brasília time (2 p.m. MST).
  • More than 500 watch parties are organized across Brazil to expand access to the performance.
  • Four Brazilian natives—Alan Silva, Alvaro Martins, Thalita Carvalho and Rodrigo Domaredzky—are performing as global members.
  • The now-permanent global-members initiative brings 10–12 singers from abroad through a four-phase audition, with an expectation of two general-conference appearances within five years.
