Overview

  • The carrier posted adjusted EPS of $2.41 on $21.95 billion in revenue, essentially in line with consensus.
  • Postpaid net adds reached 2.3 million, including 1.0 million phones and 560,000 total broadband adds, helped by US Cellular customers and the iPhone 17 cycle.
  • Management lifted 2025 postpaid net-add guidance to 7.2–7.4 million, including about 3.3 million phones, and nudged fiber adds guidance to roughly 130,000.
  • Capital spending rose to $2.6 billion in Q3 and the full-year capex outlook increased to $10 billion as network investments accelerate.
  • Net income fell year over year while operating cash flow rose and adjusted free cash flow declined, and the stock traded lower even as Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo reiterated Buy ratings ahead of the Nov. 1 CEO handover to Srini Gopalan.
