Swiggy Co-Founder Nandan Reddy Resigns as Board Elevates Senior Operators

The leadership shuffle signals a move toward more institutional governance after the company’s 2024 listing.

Overview

  • Swiggy co-founder Nandan Reddy, who also served as Head of Innovation, resigned effective Friday to pursue other professional interests.
  • The board approved Phani Kishan Addepalli and Group CFO Rahul Bothra as Executive Directors, set to join on June 1 pending shareholder approval.
  • Prosus unit MIH India Food Holdings will now be represented by Renan De Castro Alves Pinto on Swiggy’s board, replacing Roger Clark Rabalais.
  • Proposed updates to Swiggy’s Articles of Association, the company’s governance rulebook, would remove Accel and SoftBank board nomination rights and give CEO Sriharsha Majety a conditional right to nominate himself and one senior leader.
  • In an internal note, Reddy said Swiggy Crew, the app’s concierge-style service, will shift under Rohit Kapoor, who also leads food delivery.
