Overview
- Suzlon announced on July 23 that it has won a 201.6 MW order from Waaree Forever Energies to develop a wind farm in Andhra Pradesh under its DevCo model.
- The project will install 64 of Suzlon’s S144 turbines rated at 3.15 MW each and includes land acquisition, turbine supply, balance of plant, commissioning, and lifetime operations and maintenance.
- Company executives said the award is Suzlon’s second DevCo-led EPC win within a week and lifts the firm’s Andhra Pradesh order book to about 1 gigawatt, showing rising demand for integrated delivery.
- Waaree Forever Energies, the IPP arm of solar maker Waaree Group, will use the project as its maiden wind entry in Andhra Pradesh to diversify its renewables portfolio beyond solar.
- Suzlon disclosed FY26 revenue and mid-2026 market-capitalisation figures to show scale and separately faces a ₹28.95 crore SEBI penalty tied to FY15–FY21 financial misstatements, a regulatory matter distinct from the contract.
