- Suzlon announced on Tuesday that it has won a 105 MW contract from Sunsure Energy, marking the first commercial sale of its new S175 5.0 MW turbine.
- The contract covers supply, erection, commissioning and maintenance of 21 S175 wind turbine generators to be installed in Bijapur district, Karnataka.
- The S175 is a 5.0 MW machine built around a 175-metre rotor and a 160-metre hybrid lattice tower designed to reach higher, more stable wind regimes and raise energy yields at sites previously seen as marginal.
- This is Sunsure’s third order with Suzlon in under 14 months, taking their cumulative business to 400.8 MW and reflecting a rapidly deepening supplier-customer relationship.
