Overview
- The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. when an SUV drove through a fence and landed in the Smugglers' Notch Resort pool, where it struck people who were swimming.
- Two people suffered minor injuries and were treated and released after family members and the Cambridge Rescue Squad pulled victims from the water.
- Witnesses saw a Vermont State Police trooper place a person in handcuffs and take them into custody, and police said they are not releasing the person’s identity because of their age.
- The dark-blue SUV, reported to carry New Hampshire plates, was removed from the pool hours later by crane and towed from the scene.
