- Court filings say Michael Sanchez opened fire outside a Buckeye home on May 14, killing 16-year-old Rylee Montgomery and her unborn baby and wounding two other women, one of whom delivered a premature infant who later died.
- On May 29 a Maricopa County grand jury charged 18-year-old Michael Sanchez with multiple felonies including three counts of first-degree murder two counts of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
- Investigators say surveillance video and an ankle monitor Sanchez was wearing while on felony probation after a March arrest place him at the scene and helped lead to his arrest on May 15.
- Nineteen-year-old Antonio Tequida was arrested and indicted on a hindering-prosecution charge after prosecutors allege he drove Sanchez from the scene and helped hide him.
