Surrey Man Pleads Not Guilty to 5G Mast and Restaurant Arson Charges

Prosecutors say a can of brake cleaner bought days earlier links him to a rucksack fire by a telecoms tower.

Overview

  • Milo Creese, who appeared by videolink Wednesday, pleaded not guilty to eight charges at the Old Bailey.
  • The counts include arson with intent to endanger life, three further arson offences, possessing a crossbow in public, damaging property, and two assaults on emergency workers.
  • Prosecutors allege he burned an Indian restaurant on October 31 and then attacked Mobile Broadband Network sites twice in November, causing thousands of pounds of damage.
  • Police say the November 21 mast fire on Bittams Lane in Ottershaw started in a rucksack near a can of brake cleaner that Creese had bought six days earlier, and they reported no injuries.
  • Judge Richard Marks KC set a June 19 hearing and a 10-day trial from September 1, and ordered Creese remanded in custody.
