- India’s top court, which rolled out the new tools Monday, said One Case, One Data links Supreme, High, district and taluka (sub-district) courts into a single live record.
- The module will pull case details directly from court databases to speed checks, with reciprocal access for High Courts and government departments to improve accuracy and transparency.
- Judges at the Supreme Court will see lower-court updates in real time, and trial courts will be able to view relevant Supreme Court records when needed.
- Su-Sahay, built by the National Informatics Centre with the Registry and embedded on the Court’s website, will guide users to case status, filing steps and services, and it will not make judicial decisions.
- A bench led by CJI Surya Kant directed bail matters to be listed weekly or fortnightly, new bail pleas to be listed within a week, status reports to be filed before the first hearing, copies to be served on the Advocate General, and unattended pleas to be auto-relisted, with High Courts setting outer timelines for disposal.
