Supercars Champ Chaz Mostert to Co-Drive Lexus in Detroit GTD Pro
The guest drive strengthens Lexus–Vasser Sullivan's two-car push for a GTD Pro win in Detroit.
Overview
- Vasser Sullivan confirmed Wednesday that Chaz Mostert will share the No. 15 Lexus RC F GT3 with Aaron Telitz for the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix.
- They will race in GTD Pro, IMSA’s pro-only GT class for factory-supported teams, in a 100-minute sprint on the downtown street course on May 30.
- The No. 15 entry joins the full-season No. 14 Lexus of Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat, which team leaders say gives Lexus two strong chances at a class win.
- The Detroit outing will be Mostert’s first start in the 100-minute street race, following a second-place GTD Pro finish at January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
- The race airs live flag-to-flag on NBC and Peacock on May 30 at 4 p.m. ET, giving the expanded Lexus effort a national TV stage.
