Overview

  • On Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, the Phoenix Suns announced plans to install a 226-foot-wide by 41-foot-tall transparent mesh LED videoboard on the Mortgage Matchup Center plaza.
  • The installation is described as a multimillion-dollar project designed and engineered by OneRevel and billed as the largest exterior LED at any NBA or WNBA arena.
  • Technical details released by the team say the 9,266-square-foot display will use more than 17 million pixels and run at 60 frames per second while being integrated behind glass to preserve light and sightlines.
  • The Suns expect the screen to be in place in the fall of 2026, with reporting noting an October target ahead of the home opener on Oct. 24 and in advance of the 2027 All-Star Game.
  • The franchise frames the board as a platform for outdoor watch parties, highlights, team and entertainment content and a way to draw fans into downtown Phoenix for games and events.
