The deals showcase a standardized process to speed corporate clean energy purchases.
Overview
- Sunraycer said it signed two power purchase agreements with Google Energy to buy power from the roughly 400 MWac Lupinus solar portfolio in Franklin County, Texas.
- The transaction used LevelTen Energy’s LEAP, a standardized contracting process designed to shorten negotiations, and LevelTen said it went from RFP to signed contracts in under 10 weeks.
- Sunraycer projects the solar plants will begin commercial operation in late Q4 2027, a target that depends on permits, grid interconnection, and construction proceeding as planned.
- The company said the projects will add new renewable capacity to the ERCOT power market to support reliability as electricity demand in Texas continues to rise.
- Sunraycer and Google highlighted expected local gains in Franklin County including construction jobs and long-term tax revenue, and Sunraycer pointed to momentum across a U.S. solar and storage pipeline near 3 GW.
