Sunderland Tie Wilson Isidor to Contract Through 2030

Sunderland confirmed that Wilson Isidor has signed a new contract running to June 2030 and he told the club he is happy to continue his journey with the team.
Isidor initially joined on loan from Zenit before moving permanently the following February and played a key role in Sunderland’s promotion to the Premier League.
He has made 82 appearances for the club and scored 19 goals in all competitions, including 12 in his first season and a play-off semi-final strike against Coventry City.
In his first Premier League campaign Isidor netted six goals from 4.8 expected goals, a return bettered only by teammate Brian Brobbey last season.
The extension secures a rising international profile—boosted by a World Cup goal for Haiti—and gives Sunderland roster stability as they regroup after their opening defeat and await their Europa League opponents.
