- At a Hamirpur awareness walkathon, the chief minister administered an anti-drug oath as students, officials and community members joined the march from the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) to Police Lines, Dosadka Ground.
- Police operations cited by officials include 121 simultaneous raids on November 22, checks at 51 educational institutions and about 598 shops and market areas on November 25, and 16 arrests under PIT/NDPS on December 7.
- So far, 1,214 suspected traffickers have been identified, 950 illegally acquired properties have been flagged for action, and a total of 63 traffickers have been arrested.
- Authorities say traffickers, suppliers and their protectors are being targeted using advanced technology, strengthened intelligence and stringent legal provisions under the NDPS framework.
- Informer rewards ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹10 lakh have been announced with confidentiality and protection, alongside plans for new de-addiction centres and a dedicated Drug De-addiction, Prevention and Rehabilitation Board; officials also note seizures far exceed the ₹13 crore tallied under the previous government.
