Sudbury Issues Boil-Water Advisory After Bacteria Detected in Two Plants

Officials describe a precautionary step prompted by total coliform detections at two treatment plants.

  • Public Health Sudbury & Districts ordered the advisory Wednesday night for Sudbury, New Sudbury and Falconbridge after routine tests at the David Street and Falconbridge plants found total coliform bacteria.
  • Nearby communities such as Copper Cliff, Coniston, Walden, Garson, Val Caron, Azilda, Chelmsford, Dowling, Skead and Onaping are not included in the notice.
